Is bakuchiol the same as retinol?
No u2014 bakuchiol is a plant-derived compound from Psoralea seeds that activates similar cellular pathways to retinol but through a different mechanism. Multiple clinical studies show comparable efficacy with significantly less irritation.
Can I use this in the morning?
Yes. Unlike retinol, bakuchiol is photo-stable and can be used morning and evening. We still recommend SPF during daytime use.
Is it safe during pregnancy?
Bakuchiol is widely considered the safe alternative to retinol during pregnancy. However, always consult your doctor or midwife before adding new products during pregnancy.
